Home > Good for her

The "Good for her" award is one way for Sister Business to highlight and reward women who have succeeded in public life, whether in business, social issues or politics. This could be women who dare to take up extra space, who move ahead and clear the way for others.
Perhaps they have succesful companies, perhaps they are making headway with an idea that can change the society and give it more sustainable focus. Perhaps they are brave enough to stand up to the existing establishment and power hierarchies on their way to achieving their goals.

At Sister Business we want to applaud and support these successful women who have also shown that they support our core values - those behind a socially, financially and environmentally sustainable society. The award aims to highlight inspirational role models around the world.

Fia Gulliksson, successful eco-gastronomist, tea maker and food designer in Östersund, Sweden, is one example of such a person. She was awarded the 2008 Nobel Prize for Entrepreneurs in the County of Jämtland, with the motivation that she has shown people, companies and organisations that it is possible to eat your way to sustainable development. Fia Gulliksson is an energetic entrepreneur who, apart from her running her companies, Food in Action and Brunkullan AB, is also a project manager for JiLU (the institute or Rural Development in the County of Jämtland) and is active within the Slow Food movement.
